Bloom Maternal Health provides community-based pregnancy, postpartum recovery support, and gynecologic surgery aftercare. Bloom was created to supplement, not replace, the care patients receive from their primary care providers.
Our goal is to improve maternal health outcomes by bridging the gap between hospital and community care. We strive to decrease maternal morbidity and mortality rates by providing accessible, patient centered care.
We offer telemedicine for Texas and Louisiana. Telesupport for all 50 states.

Gynecologic Surgery

Gynecologic Surgery after-care house calls are available for Houston & New Orleans area clients that have experienced a:

Hysterectomy

Myomectomy (fibroid removal surgery)

Miscarriage
We can assist with post surgical/procedure education to you and your family/support, explaining discharge instructions, assessing surgical wounds, dressings and drains and overall recovery. We can also communicate with your provider regarding adherence and changes to plan of care.
At the end of the visit you will receive a clear care plan and access to our secure online texting portal for 2 weeks.

How early can I start planning for my postpartum journey?

We recommend that you contact us at the beginning of your 3rd trimester.
Do you accept insurance?

For Postpartum recovery & Women's Health Services: Bloom Maternal Health accepts patients whether they have insurance or not and regardless of their insurance plan. We do not bill insurance or participate in any insurance plans. Nurse Nikki is considered out of network for all insurance plans. We are able to create super bills for you to submit to your insurance per request, but cannot guarantee any form of reimbursement. If you have Medicaid or no insurance please contact us our Bloom Community Health program for a scholarship. Scholarships are available thanks to generous donors and private grants.

For Breastfeeding Lactation Services: Bloom Maternal Health is contracted with The Lactation Network (TLN) and therefore accepts Anthem PPO, BCBS PPO, Cigna PPO nationwide. You could be approved for 6 visits with me with zero cost to you. Verify your insurance and once approved (it takes a couple of hours), contact us for an appointment.
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for the services?
You may want to check with your human resources department regarding the use of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) as possible payment options.
